Reflexology is a therapy that dates back thousands of years where pressure is applied using the fingers and thumbs to different parts of the feet or hands. The feet and hands are like mini maps of the body and pressure is applied to achieve balance throughout.
What are the limitations of Reflexology?
Reflexologists do not claim to cure or diagnose and cannot prescribe but Reflexology:
relieves anxiety and stress;
promotes a sense of general well-being.
What happens during a treatment?
Before the treatment I will carry out a consultation with you to make sure there are no reasons why we cannot carry out the treatment. A lifestyle questionnaire will be also carried out, by doing this a tailor made treatment will be created for you. The treatment will take about 60 minutes in total.
What will you feel during the treatment
During the treatment you should feel relaxed and you may sleep which is normal. The therapist will go over any other issues with you at the appointment.
Reflexology should not be used in place of conventional medical care. Always consult your GP or a health professional for medical attention and advice.
